Flag Flying at the U.S. Consulate

Fourth of July, 2006. We flew 201 presentation flags over the Consulate of the U.S. Embassy. All the folks in the last picture took turns hoisting or folding.

"Baghdad Idol"--The IZ Version of "American Idol!"

"Baghdad Idol" competition. JCC-I/A turned out to support Major Lavonne Shingler in the Semis (Top). All the contestants gathered for a group shot (2nd). We "make some noise" to let the judges know what we thought of Lavonne's rendition of "I Hope You Dance" (center). Lavonne in the Semis (4th). And the 2006 Baghdad Idol is...Maj. Lavonne Shingler of JCC-I/A!
She performed "The Greatest Love of All," and "Inseparable" in the finals. Whitney and Natalie better watch their backs!
